What branch are you going in for the military ?
Are you nervous for shipping out? I'm doing a shadowing with a reserves flight nurse tomorrow.... And I'm terrified (not just for the shadowing but thinking about military life in general).
I’m a mix of emotions.
Most of the time I’m excited to finally ship and get this process started, but I would be lying if I told you I wasn’t the least bit worried. I’m mainly nervous because I don’t know what to expect, fear of the unknown. I can read all I want about boot camp, but I wont really know what it’s like until I get down there.
Also, if you have the time, I’d love to hear about your shadowing experience. Being a flight nurse sound like an interesting job!
Stand by for boot camp.
I found out yesterday that I could be leaving as soon as Monday for boot camp. I’ve been put on stand by, so the chances of me actually leaving are about 50/50. I was going to set up a queue before I left, but since my ship date has been pushed forward two weeks, I’m not sure if I’ll have the time.
Just thought I’d give everyone a heads up, incase I suddenly disappear from your dash in the next couple days.
❝ I meet Christians who are super-glossy, picture-perfect, law-abiding people, but they are absolutely miserable and difficult to be near. Their every movement is dictated by a strict rigid ruleset that is motivated by a desperate fear. If your efforts are not driven by grace — that God absolutely loves you no matter what — then you will punish yourself towards an invisible standard that looks like success but feels like slavery. Such a standard might work for a little while to conform your behavior, but it will never become a part of you: it’s just an apparatus that imprisons you. Only grace can truly be internalized to melt your heart, and though it can take longer, a truly tenderized heart follows God with all joy and perseverance. This is motivation by grace and grace alone. ❞
